All the TikTok Beauty Hacks We've Spotted on Euphoria
Everyone loves a good TikTok beauty hack -- including the kids of Euphoria high school.
In "Ruminations: Big and Little Bullys," the third episode of Euphoria season two, several beauty trends popped up that appeared to be influenced by TikTok.
Here are some of the TikTok beauty hacks we've spotted on Euphoria, what they are, and how to recreate them yourself.
Heatless Curls
In last night's episode, we saw Sydney Sweeney's character Cassie using the famous heatless curling ribbon that went viral on TikTok last year. You may have seen it on your FYP?
The curling rod headband features a claw clip, two silk scrunchies, and headband-like tube to achieve voluminous waves that look effortless without the use of hot tools.
While most people use this heatless hair hack overnight, Cassie woke up at 4am to start her extensive beauty routine -- which consisted of this hair styling tool.
Eye Patches
In a bid to get the attention of Nate Jacobs at school with her looks, Cassie Howard wakes up early in the morning to begin an elaborate skincare routine that comprises of some of the hottest trends we've seen on TikTok over the past few months. The first step in her routine? Eye patches!
Eye patches are a TikTok skin care trend here to take your skin care routine to the next level. These gel patches are commonly infused with soothing ingredients like hyaluronic acid, aloe, and green tea to target specific under-eye concerns like dark circles and puffiness. Pop these in your skincare fridge prior to use, and enjoy a brighter pair of peepers!

Facial Massager
Any loyal TikTok user with a passion for beauty has most probably heard of the facial sculpting TikTok trend. Everyone from celebs to influencers, makeup artists and Cassie from HBO's Euphoria have been seen using this tool to massage away impurities, define the face, and give skin a youthful glow. It's an excellent beauty tool to wake up your complexion!
Remember to apply serum or moisturizer first to facilitate easy sweeping.

Jade Roller
Jade rolling may have been trending lately, but it's actually not a new concept. Turns out, it's been used for centuries in traditional Chinese medicine.
According to dermatologists, jade rollers are used to stimulate lymphatic drainage and ultimately, improve skin health. Since jade is cool to the touch, even when it comes into contact with the skin, it's a great tool for tightening and brightening your complexion.
"This cooling helps with brightening your complexion, reducing puffiness, stimulating lymphatic drainage, and promoting blood circulation," says New York-based aesthetician Debra Krueger. "Healthy blood circulation carries oxygen to skin cells, and it will also help penetrate products deeper into skin tissue. In that way, it reduces fine lines and wrinkles."
Gua Sha Lifting Tool
Gua sha is another TikTok beauty trend that works in a similar way.
"[Gua sha] — a technique that is instrument-assisted, unidirectional scraping/press-stroking on a lubricated area of the body — helps to release blood stagnation that’s considered pathogenic in traditional East Asian medicine," explains Aileen Moy, DACM, LAc, LMT at the Yinova Center.
It's a great tool for getting glam since it gives you a natural glow.

Gold Bar
Anyone who goes on social media is probably familiar with the gold bar skin sculpting trend.
This 24-karat gold vibrating bar instantly makes skin feel and appear toned, lifted, and revived.
Use it before applying your foundation, concealer, mascara, and eyeliner for the most sensational makeup look! Your Valentine's Day date will appreciate the effort! And you'll feel fantastic looking and feeling utterly fabulous!
Ice Roller
Dealing with redness or inflammation? Ice rolling may be just what you need.
"The cool temperature of these tools combined with the pressure applied during rolling causes blood vessels to dilate as well as increases circulation, ultimately reducing swelling and boosting skin radiance," says Dr. Michele Green, M.D., a New York-based cosmetic dermatologist.
She suggests using your ice roller first thing in the morning to reduce the appearance of any puffiness and redness.
Towel Face Mask
While the derms don't recommend scrubbing the way Cassie does, face towels can be helpful for opening up the pores, cleansing away impurities, and providing gentle exfoliation.
Face towels can also be useful in helping you remove your face and eye makeup. Just be sure to wipe away your matte foundation, eyeshadow, highlighter, and lipstick gently.

Dry Brushing
Dry brushing is another beauty technique that utilizes lymphatic drainage. Models use it before hitting the runways to smooth out cellulite, and boost glow. It's a great DIY hack for getting super smooth, glowing gams.
Hence the reason for Cassie's sparkling stems! That said, you can also get similar results from beauty products such as exfoliating cleansers or body scrubs.

JUST HOW EFFECTIVE IS CASSIE HOWARD'S BEAUTY ROUTINE?
So, do you really need $400 worth of skincare tools to get your face looking its best?
According to board-certified dermatologist Dr. Shereene Irdriss, no.
Dr. Idriss explains that there is no real benefit for using all of these tools, as they all essentially do the same thing: promote lymphatic drainage. "You can get similar or the same results with your fingers or using a cold metal spoon and save yourself a lot of money," she says. Like this Luxury Golden Spoon?
