What is in the Hailey Bieber Smoothie?
Everyone’s still obsessed with the Hailey Bieber smoothie. After launching her own smoothie line with wellness store Erewhon in 2022, Hailey’s Strawberry Skin Glaze Smoothie went viral on TikTok. A swirly pink symbol of luxury with an $18 price tag. Naturally, everyone wants to know what is in it.
Scroll down to find out what’s in the Hailey Bieber smoothie and how to make it at home.
What’s the Hailey Bieber Smoothie?
The Hailey Bieber skin smoothie launched in tandem with her skincare brand Rhode in 2022. After being spotted numerous times with a pink swirly smoothie in hand, fans wanted to get their hands on it.
“What actually happened was that I went into Erewhon just to order a regular smoothie, and then I posted the smoothie on my [Instagram] story,” Hailey Bieber told GQ. “That week, I went back into Erewhon and they were like, ‘You don’t understand how many people have come in here and ordered the thing that you posted.’” Hence, the birth of the Hailey Bieber Erewhon smoothie collab.
What is in the Hailey Bieber Smoothie?
At $18 a cup, you’re probably wondering what’s in the Hailey Bieber smoothie? Some incredibly sumptuous ingredients, that’s for sure. The Strawberry Glaze Skin Smoothie contains a myriad of skin-loving ingredients such as strawberries, sea moss, almond milk, avocado, dates, collagen peptides, and coconut cream with a drizzle of strawberry glaze. Yum!
All these ingredients help to hydrate and plump skin from within for a glossy, glazy Hailey Bieber glow. You do have the option to customize it, if you wish, with a shot of espresso, sweeteners, or a scoop of other superfoods. Your smoothie, your way.
Hailey Bieber Smoothie Recipe
Hailey Bieber’s Strawberry Glaze Skin Smoothie is no regular smoothie. Its simple base of strawberry and banana is elevated by delicious coconut cream, strawberry glaze, and a scoop of collagen peptides. It doesn’t just taste good. It makes your skin look good too. Here’s how to make Hailey Bieber’s smoothie at home.
What You’ll Need:
- Coconut milk
- Frozen strawberries
- Maple syrup
- Vanilla collagen
- Sea moss
- Coconut cream
- Strawberry glaze (Strawberries, lemon juice, and maple syrup)
How to Make it
Step 1: To make the strawberry glaze, add the three ingredients (strawberries, lemon juice, and maple syrup) into a blender and puree until smooth. Set aside.
Step 2: Mix the remaining ingredients in the blender until smooth. You can add more coconut milk until the thickness is as desired. While the original recipe contains almond milk, coconut milk is a great alternative for making it taste extra creamy and tropical.
Step 3: Pour the smoothie mixture into a glass and drizzle over the strawberry glaze. Use a spoon or knife to create swirls.

How Healthy is the Hailey Bieber Smoothie?
It may have a cult following, but is the Hailey Bieber smoothie healthy? It does have its fair share of benefits, according to dietician Amy Shapiro, MS, RD, CDN, of Real Nutrition in New York City.
For starters, it’s rich in fiber which can help balance blood sugar levels and keep you full for longer. She says it may also help to give your complexion a healthy glow thanks to its hydrating and anti-inflammatory ingredients.
However, Shapiro does warn that “This smoothie is likely high in saturated fat and sugar, so decide what works best for you.” For that reason, she recommends modifying the recipe with greek yogurt instead of coconut cream and reducing (or limiting) the maple syrup and strawberry glaze to reduce your sugar intake.
As for its effects on the skin, dermatologists say it can benefit skin health. However, if you’re looking to target specific skin concerns like fine lines or hyperpigmentation, it’s best to use topical treatments with active ingredients like retinol, vitamin C, and AHAs.
Hailey Bieber’s Homemade Smoothie
The Strawberry Skin Glaze Smoothie isn’t the only drink to get excited about. Last year, Bieber shared one of her favorite homemade smoothies on TikTok—a beverage she regularly whips up for her and husband Justin Bieber.
It features a base of almond milk, a scoop of vegan protein, and plenty of berries. While she doesn’t list the full ingredients, it looks like the recipe includes vanilla almond milk, one banana, raspberries and blueberries, protein powder, and tons of ice.

Our Take on the Hailey Bieber Smoothie
Since we’re headquartered in LA, we decided to give this TikTok-viral smoothie a try. How did it taste? Sweet, creamy, and delicious—like dessert, for your skin. As much as we loved it, it’s not the kind of smoothie we’d drink every day. Not because it isn’t unbelievingly scrumptious. But because it’s super sweet and pretty heavy.
Making this at home, we’d tweak the recipe to omit the coconut cream and strawberry glaze. As decadent as the original Hailey Bieber smoothie is, we feel it’s too sweet for daily consumption—and those sugars may not do our skin many favors.
All in all, the Hailey Bieber Smoothie is a sumptuous, scrumptious beverage with a host of skin benefits thanks to all its antioxidant-rich, collagen-boosting ingredients. If we were drinking it daily, though, we’d order it without the strawberry glaze and coconut cream.
